QA Analyst(Mobile)

Job Description
The QA Analyst will be responsible for supporting and coordinating all aspects of QA activities for BAMTECH Media's Mobile applications. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing requirements, user stories, and design documentation to ensure that they are clearly defined, complete, and testable. The analyst will be responsible for the creation and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scripts to verify new and existing (regression) software functionality with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will contribute both to the definition and the enforcement of quality assurance processes and procedures based on best practice methodology.

Basic Qualifications
Expertise in functional testing, regression testing, and ad-hoc testing
Familiarity with testing:
Multiple operating system platforms (iOS, Android, Fire OS)
Device types (handset, tablet)
Proxy tools (Charles, Fiddler, etc.)
Media playback controls and features (VOD, Linear, DVR, PIP, Chromecast)
Mobile In-App Purchases
Geo-location testing
Knowledge of mobile devices and industry trends
Skills in diagnosing and solving complex problems and providing detailed technical analyses.
Experience documenting processes and procedures.
Experience manipulating test data in ways that trigger or fulfill certain use cases.
Ability to identify critical or complex areas in the system and test accordingly
Ability to work flexible hours during critical project delivery times
Ability to work with cross-functional business stakeholders
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Desire to collaborate with others in a team environment
Experience with Automated Testing tools a plus

Responsibilities
Work with other QA Analysts and Developers to ensure overall system reliability, performance, and quality
Work closely with business owners to understand and test for business requirements
Develop test plans and timelines, work with Project Manager to identify project risks, and define exit criteria for each Testing Cycle
Employ best practices to execute and validate product releases against defined feature and regression test scripts. Work to expose anomalies and variations between platform requirements and implementation.
Work with automation team to apply new technologies and automated test solutions (proprietary and open-sourced) for implementation.
Provide project estimates, plan and manage ongoing service activities
Test the applications via Black Box, Regression, Release, Stress, and Negative testing methods
Proactively learn the backend infrastructure for thorough White Box testing
Produce well-structured, repeatable feature and regression test scripts for manual and automated testing; maintain test scripts over time.
Create clearly documented defect reports for anomalies and bugs identified during test execution, and communicate results across departments
Provide direction for all QA resources during the testing cycle
Employ best practices to continuously improve quality assurance within an agile framework over time

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
