Clinical Services Specialist

Provides clinically-related knowledge pertaining to drug formularies, utilization management and drug benefit design to internal and external stakeholders. Serves as a clinical resource to staff and customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Performs detailed utilization management research and analysis for client projects.
Performs or oversees prior authorization, medical benefit, specialty pharmacy and / or other research projects.
Keeps abreast of regulations and standards to the National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP) and the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) as they pertain to formulary management and dissemination, Records all client project time on a weekly basis.
Uses the time reporting system; signing and reporting all exception time on a weekly basis.
Completes other administrative tasks, such as travel and expense reporting or similar, in a timely manner.
Performs responsibilities in a professional manner, meeting the Company?s mission and goals.
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience: Bachelors degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four (4) year college or university and three (3) or more years related experience and/or training are required for this position. These requirements may be substituted by or with an equivalent combination of education and experience where applicable.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
Must demonstrate a command of the English language (read, write and speak).
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Computer Skills: Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software; and Word Processing software as well as software platforms applicable to the job

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
