Your roles and responsibilities:

  • File assignments and patent and trademark applications and other documents with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.

  • Communicate with U.S Patent & Trademark Office, outside counsel and IP Department personnel abroad about docketing and prosecution matters.?

  • Enter and track due dates, monitor actions due, and generate docket reports in IP management system.

  • Analyze and process incoming correspondence for IP matters.

  • Draft, review and negotiate confidentiality agreements in accordance with established department guidelines.

  • Draft and review commercial contracts in accordance with established department guidelines.? Review proposed changes requested by internal clients, customers, vendors and employees to standard company contracts.? Analyze and summarize legal documents, including contracts, and making suggestions for alterations of those documents.

  • Coordinate execution of documents and assist with managing files.

  • Assist with administrative tasks, which often include complex projects affecting multiple US entities.?

  • Assist with communication and implementation of processes and procedures of the Legal Department.

  • Other duties, consistent with the view that all members of the legal department should be exposed to all facets of the Company?s business.

What is required for this role:

  • Five years related experience and/or training in corporate legal services or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Paralegal certificate is helpful, but not required.

  • Impeccable verbal and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business contacts, documents, legal professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.

  • Computer literate in basic application software systems.

  • Contract review experience preferred.?

  • Keen interest in IP or IP prior work experience preferred.

  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
