The National Inside Sales Manager¬ is responsible for driving the inside sales commercial strategy nationally. Leads a team of Inside Sales Managers and ensures organizational capability exists to drive high performance. Leverages sales experience, technical knowledge, and business savvy to promote Univar's unique value proposition in the market.¬  Fosters an environment of collaboration and trust defined by strategic execution and profitable sales growth.

As a National Inside Sales Manager, you will:


¬ 



  • Actively track account activity as well as sales and margin growth for the inside sales organization.¬  Implements improvement plans as necessary to drive achievement of performance objectives.

  • Establish processes to transfer knowledge and share best practices nationally.

  • Provide coaching and performance feedback to Inside Sales Managers and holds them accountable for achieving sales objectives within their teams.

  • Collaborate with Inside Sales Managers to create and maintain sales territories and the assignment of accounts to maximize team productivity.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders on business opportunities (Line of business, Product Management, etc.) to maximize sales team effectiveness and customer value.

  • Own and execute key Univar people processes for inside sales organization: Performance Management, Salary Planning, Succession Planning, etc.

Education & Experience required:



  • Bachelor's degree

  • 8+ years of¬  inside sales and sales management experience

  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing a successful sales strategy

  • Strong record of exceeding margin and scorecard targets

Knowledge & Skills necessary include:



  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to manage KPI's, pricing and marketing strategies, and external market factors to drive business results

  • Have exceptional relationship management skills and an inspiring leadership style

  • Deep understanding of the business relationship between manufacturers, distributors and end-users of chemical products and services

  • Highly developed consultative sales toolkit with the ability to transfer skills to others via coaching and role modeling

  • Exemplary negotiation skills that allow Univar to realize appropriate value for products and services, rather than resorting to price-based selling

  • Solid communication skills (verbal, written, listening, presenting)

  • Excellent computer skills including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as CRM platforms such as Salesforce.com

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
