Responsibilities:
- Walk dogs on a regular basis, ensuring their safety and well-being - Provide exercise and mental stimulation for dogs during walks - Follow specific instructions from pet owners regarding the care and handling of their dogs - Monitor dogs for any signs of distress or health issues during walks - Clean up after dogs and dispose of waste properly -Feed cats and change litter - Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with clients
Experience:
- Previous experience as a dog walker or in a related field such as veterinary technician, pet sitting, dog handling, animal care, or dog training is preferred - Knowledge of animal restraint techniques and understanding of dog behavior - Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with pet owners - Familiarity with different breeds and their specific needs - Experience working with other animals such as cats or horses (equine) is a plus If you are passionate about animals, enjoy being outdoors, and have experience working with dogs, we would love to hear from you.
